Technically, the first GCVC Meet-Up occured in September 2018, however even though it was a small turn-out, it was more or less considered experimental; we were testing the waters, seeing what worked. 
The following month's Meet-Up, in August, saw a much larger crowd at a more suitable venue: Tracy's Tavern in Clarendon Hills IL.
